KeyCue

Ergonis Software has released KeyCue 4.0, its “cheat sheet” for menu shortcuts. The upgrade is free for anyone who’s bought KeyCue in the last two years; for others, it costs €19.99 ($28.34).

Here KeyCue is showing keyboard shortcuts for iTunes, just by holding down the Command button for one second. Notice that KeyCue can be set to appear partially transparent—helpful when you still want to be able to view the app you’re using underneath the KeyCue window. To hide KeyCue, simply let go of the Command button. KeyCue has always been a handy tool for learning and remembering keyboard shortcuts. With a simple keystroke or click, KeyCue displays a table with all available keyboard shortcuts, system-wide hotkeys, as well as key combinations for triggering macros in Keyboard Maestro, QuicKeys and iKey.

Keycue Manual

KeyCue displays all the key commands available to you in the application you’re using. Previously the software only showed you what commands there were. Now, KeyCue lets you click on them as well. Additionally, Ergonis has updated KeyCue to work with Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard.”
